May 14 This Writer's Life: Disembodied Processes, by Illona Haus a public talk in celebration of the creative process
May 27 Founders Celebration * a special public lecture by UW history professor Kenneth McLaughlin: "The Unconventional Founding of an Unconventional University"
May 28- 31 Convocation  
June 3 faculty/staff/retirees birthday party * 40th Birthday Party, Varsity Briefcase Drill Team performance
June 13-14 Conestoga Mall Visit UW displays and exhibits in centre court
July 1 Canada Day * Actual 40th anniversary date of July 3 marks start of UW in 1957; special ceremonies mark day
September Community Report This report will feature the University, its progress and its people, and its effect on the Kitchener-Waterloo community.
It will be printed as an insert in the KW Record in September.
September 2-9 Orientation  
September 26-27 Fairview Park Mall Visit UW displays and exhibits in centre court
September 20 Engineering Reunion reunion for 30 and 35 year classes

October 25 Science Open House displays, hands-on activities, and demonstrations for primary school children and their families; displays focusing on teaching and research excellence for high school students and people attending convocation
November 7, 8, 9 Homecoming * Naismith Basketball Tournament, Varsity Briefcase Drill Team performance
November 22 Pianoscapes and Landscapes an evening of music and humour
