File and Format Conversion

We can convert a variety of different media formats. This material to be converted must be course-related (ie. we will not convert your home movies!) and must fall within copyright regulations. We can, for example, convert VHS videotapes from NTSC/PAL/SECAM (copyright permitting) to a variety of more accessible digital formats.

NTSC: National Television Systems Committee
- North America, Japan, part of South America.

PAL: Phase Alternated by Line:
- Western Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, parts of Africa and South America.

SECAM: SEquentiel Couleur Avec Memoire:
- France, Eastern Europe, Russia, and part of Africa.

Media-convert.com is a free online website that handles smaller video files (up to 150 megs in size) and converts to and from a myriad of formats.
