UW lists employees earning more than $100,000 annually

WATERLOO, Ont. -- The University of Waterloo (UW) today issued the list of its employees who were paid more than $100,000 in 1998.

The list contains the names of 104 people at UW including senior administrators, deans and professors, each of whom has many years of experience in university teaching and research.

With some 2,750 staff and faculty and about 22,000 students, the research-intensive University of Waterloo is the fourth largest university in Ontario and one of the biggest employers in Waterloo Region. UW has annual operating expenditures of about $285 million and its economic impact in the region is more than $340 million.
