OPEN DOORS Transition Program

OPEN DOORS" Transition Program

OPEN DOORS is a transition program designed for newly registered students to the University of Waterloo with learning disabilities.  It is held each summer to prepare the students for fall. This year's program will run on July 27th and 28th.

The OPEN DOORS program is designed to give students an opportunity to:

  • Discover what to expect at university.
  • Experience residence and campus life.
  • Meet upper year students and gain tips.
  • Meet with a panel of professors and learn how to be prepared for lectures and to take effective notes.
  • Learn about adaptive technology.
  • Meet with an OPD advisor to discuss strategies and supports.

The first morning of the program is for students and parents.  For details see the program agenda when posted.
