Volunteer

The Office for Persons with Disabilities (OPD) recruits volunteers to assist students in both the library and classroom with tasks such as reading, page turning, photocopying, equipment operation, and the recording of text and lecture material. In particular, note takers are often needed in the classroom. The OPD office provides NCR paper for this purpose.

Come to Needles Hall room 1132 and fill out a Volunteer Form, indicating your area of interest:
  • Note-taking assistance
  • Peer and/or individual support groups
  • Assisting students to/from classrooms
  • Assisting students with typing, computer work, etc.
  • Reading text to tape
  • Scanning print material
