In November 2008, the Vice-President, Academic & Provost established the Document Management Steering Committee to assist in setting priorities, and guiding and monitoring the deployment of document management services for the university.
Terms of Reference
- To develop a long-term strategy for document management and monitor progress toward enterprise-wide document management.
- To ensure the creation and implementation of institutional policies, procedures, and information systems/services to support the university’s document management objectives, and to review and approve revisions to those policies and procedures.
- To review, prioritize, and approve document management project proposals, in consultation with members of Executive Council as necessary, to ensure consistency with institutional goals.
The Document Management Steering Committee is not responsible for the implementation of document management projects or for the day to day administration of document management systems.
Membership
- Document Management Project Manager (Chair)
- Associate Provost, Information Systems & Technology
- Secretary of the University
- Director, Information Systems (Finance, Research, and Infrastructure)
- University Records Manager
- Up to three senior administrators representing major active document management projects appointed by the Vice-President, Academic & Provost
