St. Paul’s is a university college formally affiliated with University of Waterloo. It was founded by local members of the United Church of Canada, Waterloo Presbytery, in 1962 at the invitation of of the university and is located on its main campus.
People are sometimes confused by the term “college” and how it relates to the University of Waterloo. “College” in this context does not mean “community college,” but rather a small teaching and residential environment within a larger university.
St. Paul’s is a not-for-profit institution that exists to serve the University of Waterloo community. At St. Paul’s, we support the university and its students by:
Teaching and providing support for Waterloo courses, including the International Development Program.
Providing residence to students of all faculties, including the French Floor and the Environment Living-Learning Community.
Offering modern, on-campus apartments and suites for graduate students
Supplying Aboriginal Services to the University of Waterloo and its students.
