Hosted by St. Paul’s in collaboration with the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) of the Faculty of Environment and RBC. The former Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, current UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti, and award-winning journalist, shared her unique perspective on national and international issues through the prism of cultural diplomacy, philanthropy, good governance, deep diversity and global solidarity.

The 4 University Colleges of the University of Waterloo were joined by alumni at the newly constructed Waterloo Region Museum at Doon Heritage Crossroads in Kitchener. Following the reception guests were treated to the inside stories on the design and construction of this beautiful facility by alumnus architect Brian Rudy (BES '89 and BARCH '93). The Museum's education coordinator David Neufeld (BA '78 and MA '82) explained how the facility is to be used and provided tours of the new building.

St. Paul's Friends from the 1960's reunited for an evening of memorable stories and the presentation of St. Paul's first Distinguished Alumni Award(s) to Bob Rosehart and Bill Leggett (both centre).

The Watson Student Centre, named in recognition of the generous support of Bill Watson and Jeanne Elgie-Watson, was officially opened.
