CourtneyWhy St. Paul's?

I chose St. Paul’s due to its alliance with the faculty of environment and its proximity to the environment buildings. I also enjoyed the set-up of the rooms. The partition that separates the desks from the beds allows for greater privacy, despite the double occupancy. One roommate could be staying up to study, while the other was sleeping, without having the light disturb them. The side with the desks could also be seen as an area for friends to come in and sit, without having them by your bed or closet.

The people…

Many of the people living on your floor are classmates. This eases the social adjustment to university life.  Walking to class or forming groups for projects are much easier. We also go through a similar course load as well, which aids in a better understanding of each other’s schedules and allows for socializing to be compatible.

Best moment…

The best moment I had at St. Paul’s was discovering the similarities that I shared with my roommate. This greatly increased the transition to university, improving my overall experience. Not only did I have a roommate that I was able to relate to but I also formed a strong and lasting friendship.

The Living-Learning Community…

The Living-Learning Community has helped me adjust in terms of academics. It was great having an upper-year student provide me with insight on past experiences or mistakes. This allowed me to make sure I took full potential of the academics the university had to offer or to prevent me from doing something that I would regret. It has also aided me in preparing for the upcoming years, getting a glimpse of what courses I should or should not be taking. It was also great knowing that if you had any issue or help you needed with school, you could ask an LLC leader.
