The University of Waterloo is a public campus located in the city of Waterloo. The campus is spread over 900 acres of lawn, paved, and agricultural surfaces, and houses part of Laurel Creek.
Total Population: As of November 1994 the total campus population was 24,253. Undergraduate students are tallied at 22,558 while 2,095 are graduate students. This includes both full-time and part-time students.
Student Environmental Organizations:There are a number of student environmental organizations on campus including The Waterloo Public Interest Research Group (WPIRG), The Environmental Studies Society, and The Environment and Resource Studies Student Association. The University of Waterloo also has an Office Of The Ombudsperson - "Helping People in Conflict". There is not, however, an Environmental Ombudsperson who strictly deals with environmental issues on campus.
