far the strongest strength of the Hazardous Waste web site is the usability
of the site itself. An excellent job was done to ensure a good visual
presentation for the user and a spectacular job was done with the creation
of the entrance page. The linkages are easy to comprehend and conveniently
placed (ie. Layout is amazing). The work plan was also one of the
strong points of the web site and its content. It has amazing
detail and seems extremely well organized. The first paragraph of
the introduction, discussing the State of the Environment Report and WATgreen
was also well written and informative.
the definition of sustainability the economic impacts were included, but
they were not addressed in the body of the report. There was also
no interview questions pertaining to the economic impacts of Hazardous
Waste. For example: the costs of transportation, disposal, and education.
The grammar and sentence structure of the site could also be improved to assist with readability. Also, job titles should be included with the shadow, core and secondary actors.
systems diagram should be included with in the report. The idea of
survey questions was suggested however, actual questions were not included
nor specific analysis techniques to deal with the data were provided.
ensure an excellent report the interview questions should be detailed and
precise. For example: Do you have any stats that we could use in
our research? could be replaced with questions that ask for more
specific statistical information.
We are also concerned with the overlap of some of your interview questions that were outlined in the first part of the report and were repeated again in the second part of the report.
recommendation to assist with the readability of the proposal is that all
the interview questions should be in one section, preferably at the end
of the proposal. It was also noted that waste, chemicals and
hazardous waste were used
interchangeable through the report. Therefore one recommendation is that these terms should be clearly defined at the beginning of the report to assist the user/reader.
We appreciate this type of feedback because it gives us the opportunity to correct some errors before the bulk of the work has been processed and written into the draft report.
