Spy Mission: Whose Waste is it, and Where is it Going?

It was observed by the UW waste management co-ordinator that several delivery people had been disposing of their potentially recyclable shipping waste in the University's disposal containers. However, despite extensive observation by the group, this could not be confirmed. It was originally assumed that the University's proposed Green Purchasing Policy would eliminate problems incurred by environmentally unsound purchasing decisions. It was found, however, that the proposal was vague and meager in comparison to what had been accomplished at other post-secondary institutions. These documents allowed us to formulate guidelines for an improved UW green purchasing document.

This project is available for viewing by the UW community.
