Abstract
Environmental Resource and Studies (ERS) 285, meeting the criteria set by
WATGreen, has set about researching the
activities taking place on the University of Waterloo's campus to assess the
sustainability of the system. The following
report is a research paper undertaken as a result of this sustainability
initiative. The aim of the report is to examine the
operational practices of Graphics Services and it's subsidiaries in order to
assess whether or not the system is
sustainable. Special emphasis has been paid to paper use, photocopier use,
photography, and to the management and
maintenance of the printing press. The following document outlines a brief
summary of the information found based on
research conducted regarding the system and outlines the principle
recommendations identified necessary to facilitate a
sustainable system.
